It can be difficult to know which extracurricular activities will actually strengthen your child's college application. Colleges aren't simply counting clubs, leadership titles, or volunteer hours. They want to understand how students pursue their interests, take initiative, and make an impact.
Drawing on over a decade of admissions experience, Denard will explain what makes extracurriculars meaningful to admissions officers and how your child can build a stronger profile over time.
Understand what colleges value in extracurriculars
Learn how admissions officers evaluate involvement, leadership, commitment, and impact beyond the number of activities on an application.
Choose activities that strengthen your child's profile
See how to identify opportunities that align with your child's interests and goals instead of filling their schedule with activities that add little value.
Turn participation into meaningful impact
Learn how your child can demonstrate initiative, growth, and leadership within activities they're already involved in.
Make extracurriculars stand out on applications
Understand how students can communicate their contributions and accomplishments so admissions officers recognize the significance of their experiences.
